The rabelo boat is a traditional Portuguese wooden cargo boat was used for centuries to transport people and goods along the Douro River It is flat-bottomed, with a shallow draught, which was necessary to navigate the often shallow fast-flowing waters of the upper Douro prior to the construction of dams and locks from 1968 onwards. Nowadays they are a symbol of the region and a really fun way to sail the Douro River! We offer a variety of Rabelo boats for groups between 45 and 220 people – all options offer tailor made packages to ensure your event is a memorable one!

The “rabelo” boat “Ré Douro” has capacity for 69 people, possesses a covered deck for meals with 35 seats, bar, kitchen, restrooms and air conditioning.
The “rabelo” boat “São Telmo” possesses all the safety and comfort conditions for our clients.
This boat has the capacity for 220 people, has a covered deck for shade, a covered deck for meals with 150 seats, bar, kitchen, restrooms, air conditioning and superior deck.
