The Portiguese Way to Santiago Walking Holiday

From Ponte de Lima deep in the Minho Region north of Porto to Santiago, You’ll discover and admire one of the ways of pilgrimage the Portuguese way. Like this you will experience one true way, away from the crowds of the French way and near yourself discover. Every day is a different scenery, offering country side views along the way, and the crossing of several small towns and cities along the way rich in culture and fill with the camino spirits. Churches, monuments, old crosses will tell the history of this less trodden way until you arrive at Obradoiro Square, just in front of Saint James Cathedral, in the hearth of Santiago of Compostela.

Old Routes of Central Massif

This tour takes us to an area of the park where there is a mix of high altitude landscape with a region full of history and tradition in lowland areas that the trail passes through. The old routes of the central massif run in two mountain sides, one facing the “Lima” river and the other facing “Homem” river and the “Vilarinho das Furnas” reservoir.
