If you love riding, join us on our Horse Riding Holidays in Central Portugal! We offer quality riding packages that take the guess work out of planning! From arrival to departure, we have it all organized!

These tours are designed to take you to the heart of the country away from the well trod tourist trails. Created by a leading Lusitano horse breeder you are assured not only of a quality Lusitano to ride and also an insight into local culture! Immerse yourself in beautiful and unspoiled landscapes! In addition to these riding holidays we can also organize half and full day rides and weekend breaks!

Ribatejo is a privileged place for Puro-Sangue Lusitano horses. They are noble and intelligent animals with a proud posture and gentle temperament. There is no better way of experiencing the culture of breeders, riders and everything Lusitano! Along with great riding, we make sure you also get to know the local history, culture, tradition and local wine and gastronomy.

On each tour there will usually be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 riders. You should have some previous riding experience and be aged over 10 years old. Due to the slender build of Lusitanos, there is a weight limit of 90kg for riders. Our brochures include provisional dates for the holidays but this may be subject to change so please contact us if you are interested in a different date.

Costa Vicentina on Horseback

This riding tour explores the spectacular landscapes of the Costa Vincentina natural park on the south west coast of Portugal. Here nature still flourishes with dozens of wild, unspoilt beaches to discover. Small fishing villages mean you can enjoy to sample local gastronomy especially fresh fish and meat. Choose between two fantastic trails, including the chance to ride on the dunes, across rivers, along cliff tops and in the countryside!

Traditions and Cultures of Ribatejo

There is no better way of experiencing the equestrian culture of the Ribatejo than to live it! Starting at a Lusitano stud ranch,  you will discover a region full of history, culture, tradition, wine and local gastronomy. As well as lots of riding through beautiful landscapes this holiday includes a vineyard visit and wine tasting. Accommodation is in a historic Quinta!

Lusitanos at the Country Club

This tour is the perfect mix of wine tourism and equestrian tourism, with a wide range offer of activities related to nature tourism. If you’re lucky, you might even sight a good variety of wild birds and even deers in the open space! Riding Puro-Sangue Lusitano horses, noble animals with a proud posture, smart and gentle temper, is the best way to discover this wonderful, almost forgotten in time, place in the plains of Alentejo with beautiful landscapes. At the same time you will experience the culture, tradition, wine and local gastronomy.
