Excursion to Fatima
Home to one of the world’s most famous catholic shrines dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Fatima welcomes millions of pilgrims and visitors each year. Fatima can be visited on a half day tour alone or combined with visits to both Sintra and Obidos or to Lisbon on a full day excursion. The programme is flexible and there is time to attend mass if desired.
Guided Tour of Evora
Another gorgeous UNESCO world heritage city. For centuries Evora played a fundamental role in Portugal’s political, religious and academic life and was the residence of the country’s mediaeval kings. Evora is the finest example of a city from the golden age of Portugal (after the destruction of Lisbon by the earthquake of 1755) and is packed to bursting with history from celtic through Roman and mediaeval times to the quaint white washed houses of the 18th century. The tour will take in the highlights including a visit to the infamous bones chapel. Evora can be visited on a full day excursion from Lisbon with additional stops at Palmela castle and a vineyard for a wine tasting.
Arrabida Tours
Lying south of Lisbon, Arrabida is a region famous for its excellent wines and this tour combines six wine tastings (at two different vineyards) with a visit to Palmela castle and the picturesque beach of Sesimbra.
