Horse Riding Northern Portugal! The ultimate Peneda Geres horse riding experience! Peneda Geres national park is one of Portugal’s most wild and unspoiled landscapes. It is also one of Europe’s great wildernesses! The park itself covers 70,000 hectares!

Our Horse Riding Northern Portugal  experiences are designed to offer fantastic trail rides through wide open countryside! It is also the opportunity to relax in the tranquility of the mountains!

A day in the Mountain

If you’re already an experienced rider, join us for a one day horse riding tour! We leave in the morning from Castro Laboreiro. Ride by the herds of Garrano wild horses. Follow along the traces left by wolves. Learn how wolves live and  the signs of their presence. This area boasts largest concentration of megalithic monuments in the Iberian Peninsula. Therefore, the ride to the plateau of Castro Laboreiro is rich with natural and historic interest. Lunch is a picnic of tasty local products.

Arrive the day before and stay at our guesthouse! Waking up to fresh mountain air is the best way to start the day!

The Garrano and the Wolf

A two day adventure to take you to the heart of Peneda Geres! Two day’s riding through the mountains. Explore tiny shepherds’ hamlets. Ride along glacial valleys populated with rocks of strange and curious shapes. Cross over old bridges above the clear waters of mountain. Also, look out for its wild inhabitants!
