House Reef Dive  – Three different dive profiles make this dive spot perfect for both beginners and experienced divers. If you haven’t completed a scuba diving course yet, you can still take part in an adventurous dive in our House Reef, which is an easy and lovely dive spot, where the alternance between rocky and sandy bottoms allows to spot different species of marine organisms, such as octopi and cuttlefish, barracudas, stingrays and eagle rays, moray eels and much more. Occasional encounters with huge bull rays or monk seals are getting more and more frequent.

Zero Gravity Experience – 80 euros pp – this program is the perfect choice to try scuba diving. During this 2 dives program our guest will learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and will practice the basics he will need to dive safely under the direct supervision of a professional Instructor. The program includes:

• 1 theory briefing in classroom
• 1 dive in Quinta do Lorde natural swimming pool*
• 1 “real” dive in the sea, about 40 mins, maximum depth: 12 mt/40 feet
• Complete scuba diving equipment
• Certificate of Recognition which authorizes to continue a diving adventure.

House Reef Dives – A few steps from the shop, a solid concrete jetty stretches out into the bay, sheltered from the wind. Equipped with stairs, handrails and a practical platform at the sea surface level, our jetty offers an easy entry and exit point for divers and swimmers. It is an easy and lovely dive spot, where the alternance between rocky and sandy bottoms allows to spot different species of marine organisms, such as octopi and cuttlefish, barracudas, stingrays and eagle rays, moray eels and much more. Occasional encounters with monk seals are getting more and more frequent.

Ponta de Sao Lourenco Marina Park – This zone is well-known for its great biodiversity and visibility, up to 50 mt. Regular encounters with octopi, cuttlefish, stingrays and huge schools of fish. For experienced divers, stunning vertical walls up to 40 mt covered by the rare black coral and more than 15 dive sites.

 Single dive at 10 am or 2 pm – Double dive at 9.30 am

Garajau National Park – This zone is a paradise for underwater photography. Marine life is abundant. Divers may find there tunas, mackerels, large groupers and barracudas. The average depth is 20 m.

Deserted Islands – Natural Reserve, primarily to protect the rarest species of monk seal: Monachus monachus, but is also known as an important sea bird sanctuary. You can dive and relax in this small corner of paradise and it’s crystalline waters.

Scuba Diver 225eur  – Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? Scuba Diver is the perfect course for those who do not have time to complete an entire Open Water Diver Program.

The content of this program represents about half of a complete scuba diving certification program (Open Water Diver). The course includes:

• 3 theory lessons with a qualified Instructor
• 3 training sessions in Quinta do Lorde natural swimming pool*
• 2 adventurous dives in the sea
• complete scuba diving equipment
• teaching materials**
• worldwide recognized SSI Certification, which entitles to take part in dives under the direct supervision of a Dive Professional up to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet all over the world.

* Depending on sea / tide / weather conditions, the session could be organized in the “normal” swimming pool. In case of bad sea condition, dive in the sea might be scheduled in another day.

Open Water Diving Course is 390eur pp and includes:

• 5 theory lessons with a qualified Instructor
• 5 training sessions in Quinta do Lorde natural swimming pool*
• 4 dives in the sea
• complete scuba diving equipment
• teaching materials
• Scuba Diving Insurance
• worldwide recognized Certification, which entitles to take part in dives with a scuba diving buddy up to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet all over the world

We welcome all freedivers and apnea divers to Azul Diving Center. Ponta de Sao Lourenco Protected Area, on the eastern tip of Madeira is the perfect environment for a safe and fun practice of Freediving in Madeira with crystal clear waters, shallow lagoons and vertical drop-off up to 40mt. If you need to rent any other diving equipment do feel free to contact us in the dive center.

SSI TRY FREEDIVING

TRY Freediving is your chance to get wet and experience what freediving is all about. With the Try Freediving program, you have the chance to experience breathing workshop, and confined water session in the ocean.
