Why hold team building and corporate events in Lisbon?
Lisbon is a dynamic city that has been named Europe’s Leading City Break Destination by the World Travel Awards. Therefore you are assured a warm welcome and an interesting, entertaining stay.
When planning a team building or corporate event in Lisbon we can capitalize on the city’s most iconic locations, with activities in the city center that draw attention to its history and culture or events on the river or waterfront. Alternatively, the city is so compact that it is easy to combine a half day conference with a team building challenge on a variety of beautiful beaches or country areas just a short drive away.
Lisbon is one of the most affordable of the European capitals, so it offers great value for money in terms of hotels, restaurants, entertainment and activities. There are quick, inexpensive flights from many European cities so it can be a great choice for multinational corporations. Its mild climate also makes it a year round destination. All of which makes Lisbon an appealing location for team building.

A fun way to test not only individual skills but also group effort and effective team management while getting to know the best sites in central Lisbon.
The game is based upon the idea of a giant monopoly board the size of Lisbon downtown. Teams will be batting against each other to conquer each of the “squares” (real locations within central Lisbon) where one of our staff members will be waiting to set them a variety of teambuilding or skills based activities and quizzes.
What games will participants play?
The games in each of the Monopoly squares are chosen from the list below:
– Segway Slalom (driving and skill activity)
– GoCar Logo Challenge (driving and group activity)
– Giant Jenga (skill and teambuilding activity)
– Lisbon trivia (common knowledge activity)
– Pipeline (skill and teambuilding activity)
– Chain Reactor (group activity)
– Genius Quiz (enigma and riddle solving activity)
– Minute to Win It Games (frantic games based on a TV Show)
– Thematic sailor games (related to the Discoveries)
– Thematic company games
At the starting place in Rossio square, teams are given €1000 in fake money with your company logo on it which is used to buy the opportunity to compete for each square and a map showing the location of the 2 master command laptops and the activity square locations as well as an introduction to the challenge. A team wins the square and €200 of fake money if they are the first to successfully complete the activity at that square or set the best time for doing so.
The choice of the route, the number of squares to reach, the exact time to visit the master command laptop, the number of attempts to get the best time/score on each square, everything must be discussed and planned by the team as a group winning strategy. Monopoly is not only a game of individual agility and luck; teams also have to plan their steps carefully. Communicating with the master command is crucial for good team planning because the winner is the one who gets the most monopoly money!
The Master Command, a shadowy being who can be both sinister and friendly has a mission for you – to pass all the challenges he wants you to face… with distinction! A tablet lets you communicate with him after each completed mission and receive his next instructions.
Fortunately for you, he has the best ideas ever with a wide variety of challenges and games and even the chance to ride Segways, Gocars and bikes! After a general briefing where all invitees will learn how the activity works, our staff will distribute tablets (equipped with a special app), a set of colored lanyards and tram tickets to use as part of a challenge. Teams start navigating the city and performing all sorts of tasks required by the Master Command. The Master Command has access to your location at all times, so he will catch you by surprise with tidbits of information, as well as the commands for the next challenge. The team that wins is the one who best pleases the Master Command by getting the best score in each challenge- his choice is final!
In this unique program participants get to create their own advertising clip, based on a Portuguese traditional item and relating it with a product of their own company. Teams will turn themselves into a filming crew, going through the entire process of imagining, producing and filming, being each one of them a specific part of the filming crew as well as actor and producer. The activity begins at the hotel with a briefing and all the materials are handled to the teams. Teams are then free to create their own movie and have access to a sample script that details various ways in which the movie can be done. At the end of the activity, our staff will receive the materials and edit the movies in a way that they’ll be ready to show during a dinner ceremony or to be sent later by email. If requested, we can also create an Oscar Award ceremony where all the teams will be able to see their own movies and we will deliver prizes according to several categories that can be determined with the client.
A unique program in which you and your team design, build and embellish a miniature remote controlled boat from scratch to sailing! At the end, all of the teams’ boats will race in a crazy competition for success.
The goal is simple, but the processes is quite complex! Each team must do their best to implement their own ideas of how to create the boat (having only the casket, helixes and engine), using their own techniques, imagination and notions of hydrodynamics. Your boat can be the most beautiful piece of art to look at but sink as soon as it touches the water. The perfect metaphor for company ideas and innovations!
The TV Series AMAZING RACE has been a tremendous success all around the world. Imagine a program where all teams are racing against each other… they just don’t know where the finishing line is! Lisbon’s Amazing Race is a crazy program in which you’ll have to go through the most incredible tasks in order to get to the end. Are you ready!? The structure of this event starts by a briefing made at the hotel, for the entire group. Here we will explain the basics of traveling in Lisbon with map, precautions and activity timings. After the briefing, teams start the activity on the exact same spot. Teams are completely free to choose where, when and how they want to go in terms of action zones. We will have a different route for each 100 people distributed randomly and the ending line is the same for all contestants. Each team receives a specific quantity of Euros and their goal is to get to the end passing by all the checkpoints. The goal is the same for all the groups and so the end will be an epic happening!
We offer a wide variety of fun things to do from Amazing Race type games to City Dynamic Activities and more – and can cater to any budget! Please browse through the tabs below for ideas and contact us to let us know how we can assist you!
The event consists of an orientation game in teams exploring one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Lisbon – Belém – famous as the spot from whence the ancient sailors started their long voyages to discover the New World.
There will be 6 different areas of games, tasks and activities, as well as questions to answer.
Each 14 teams will be allocated to each area for a period of 30 minutes (including the transitions). The games will be replicated in order to be possible to host all the teams. The goal is to win the most points possible.
Points are achieved by:
- finding spots marked on a map
- answering questions of cultural and historical nature or/and questions provided by the client)
- performing tasks and games located on some of these spots (the tasks and games will be of different natures including enigmas, brain-teasers, sports and gastronomy- see below)
- Each team will receive one first location to find and the remaining are to be reached according to the team’s strategy.
- The participants of each team have to remain together at all times except otherwise stated by the rules and by the guides in the tasks/games.
- No pre-requisites are needed to participate in this team building game. In some tasks and games, the team will have to elect the participant(s) that will represent the team.
The activity begins at the hotel with a briefing where the general activity outlines are explained. After the briefing at the hotel (or any other point suitable for the group), the roadbooks give all the directions needed throughout the half-day program. The participants exit the Hotel and start the program by foot, following the directions on the roadbook to the activity site or by transfer (not included). In this particular program, the activities will be revealed from one task to another, as teams receive a sheet of paper with the description of the next activity they’ll participate in. Because some of the activities require a bit of planning, this will be the ideal way for participants to enjoy the city walk, as well as all the challenges we provide them.
Walking in Lisbon
Starting at the Hotel or Praça do Comércio, guests begin the walking tour following a roadbook containing the directions needed. The roadbook also contain information regarding the visited locations, city questions (company questions can be also added to the roadbook), questions that compel the participants to communicate with the locals and creative riddles.
After they complete any of the challenges, they receive a sheet of paper with the next challenge (explained in detail) this will allow them to get to a spot and immediately start the proof they have to pass, leaving no chances to delays and conglomerates of people in a determined area. There will be 10 action zones, so 3 teams for each zone at a time.
The Challenges / Action Zones
Trindade Brewery
This old convent, turned into a brewery, is the ideal place for participants to taste an “imperial”, a special pressurized beer that tastes like no other in the world. To accompany it, we suggest Lupin Beans (traditional Portuguese “Tremoços”). We will have a monitor there to provide the tables and the fluidity of the service even if we aren’t the providers.
These food/drink items are just a suggestion and are not included in the budget
Solar dos Bicos

Martinho da Arcada
This is a café from the XIXth century, standing right next to the famous Comércio Square. The perfect place for participants to seat at the terrace and enjoy the famous Portuguese “Bica” (very flavored short espresso), while tasting a custard cake. This place is famous also for being the “second home” of Fernando Pessoa, the greatest poet in Portuguese History. These food/drink items are just a suggestion and are not included in the budget
Portas do Sol
At this famous belvedere of Lisbon, holding probably one of the best views in our town, we will have a girl dressed with the traditional “minhota” outfit, serving Port Wine to participants, who will surely enjoy it while facing the river Tagus and seeing the rooftops of Alfama… This is a guaranteed success.
Minute to Win It Game 1 – Restauradores
(Fanning the Eggs)
The Minute to Win It series has fans all over the world, completely devoted to these challenges that have to be accomplished in less than 1 minute and that usually involve frantic movements and high stressed fun. “Fanning the Eggs” is a challenge in which participants receive a box of pizza each and their mission is to fan 3 eggs from a starting line into the interior of a circle drawn on the floor. Crazy ideas, awesome moments!
Estação Minute to Win It 2 – Carmo Square
(Chain Reactor)
The Minute to Win It series has fans all over the world, completely devoted to these challenges that have to be accomplished in less than 1 minute and that usually involve frantic movements and high stressed fun. “Chain Reactor” is game in which each participant is given the ending part of 5 tangled chains and, without letting each chain go, the team has to find a way to free the 5 chains and disentangle them.
Segway Experience – Comércio Square
We built the perfect Segway challenge for teams. After a training and familiarization time experiencing them, participants are given a wooden spoon and have to complete a set of obstacles passing a tennis ball from one spoon to another, until all participants have held it, and reach the ending line without letting it fall to the ground.
Graffiti Experience – Figueira Square
Ever felt like writing or painting something on the street for everyone to see? This is your chance! We will have a portable acrylic wall for every team, and we will give them graffiti pens to paint anything they have on their minds. We only suggest that the message has the name of the company or company logo on it. After the activity we will take these paintings to the restaurant or hotel and the whole group will be able to admire the messages of the other teams.
Message to the Company – Trindade Coelho Square
We will have a monitor (for each 100 pax) with a tablet, filming the 2:00 minutes of the clip that teams will create using cardboard, POSCA markers, coloring materials and their creativity and during the night, the video will be showing throughout the dinner, if the agency chooses to. We will also have a link available on the subsequent days for participants to download all the clips. The idea is that people tell the rest of the company how they feel regarding this particular event, the team, the boss, whatever they wish to sing about!
Frantic Mini-Treasure Hunt! – São Pedro de Alcântara Belvedere
Presume you have 5 minutes to find a treasure, based only on a really old map and a cryptic message written on its back. We will prepare four different treasure hunts (1 for each team at the spot at each time) and as we say go, we start counting time. After 5 minutes, the ones that miss the treasure will lose the Candy Bag (an assortment of candies in the shape of traditional Portuguese items from Papa Bubble). This challenge will be unique, with participants running up and down the stairs of the belvedere and trying to find the names of the statues there… a unique funny idea for any group!
Photographic Hunt – During the Whole Course
Each team receives a digital photo camera in the beginning of the activity, with which they’ll have to photograph 20 bizarre items we put on a list. Teams will struggle really hard to find a black cat, try to capture a bug, a couple giving a kiss or even include more than 30 locals in the same photo. In the end, this challenge will confer additional points to the teams that complete it.
